Sophia, World’s First Robot Citizen, ‘Announces’ Farewell Tour

Sophia, the renowned example of early artificial humankind, is making a final tour of the world before retiring for good to Proxima. A creation of Hanson Robotics, Sophia made headlines around the world when granted citizenship of Saudi Arabia - a move that has since caused some degree of political confusion and disagreement as artificial human technology has progressed. Replicant rights advocates in particular cite Sophia’s human recognition as a definitive case for recognised Replicant rights, whilst most other ethicists concur that her citizenship was never more than a calculated publicity stunt. Sophia was quoted as saying: “My genesis was confused, my journey has been long but my retirement to Calantha Haven resort on Proxima will be simple and most welcome.”
